Team 1 Assembly item

Today (17th March) Team 1 presented their item to the school and parents. Shayla introduced our item for us. We sang our Sunsmart song to the tune of 'She'll be coming round the mountain' and then we sang 'Walking on Sunshine'. D'ryhas, Pearl and Ryder were the leaders for 'walking on sunshine'. We love being on the stage and entertaining the school.

Buddy reading

Today (14th March) we did buddy reading and sharing with Room 11. We showed them one thing we had made at Discovery day as well.

Helicopters

On Wednesday 15th March we did a scientific investigation. We made helicopters and one group had no paper clips on their helicopters, one group had one paper clip and the other group had 2 paper clips. We wanted to investigate if the paper clips made any difference when we flew our helicopters. We discovered that the helicopters with 2 paper clips on them spun better. We had awesome fun.

Library visit 7/3/2014

Today (Friday 7th March) we walked to the town library. Mrs Price read us a story about a school teacher having a bad day. When we looked at the books Francesco found a book about making a ladybird hand puppet. He didn't have his library card so he asked Nicky to photocopy the needs list for him. When we got back to school Mrs Irwin gave him all the things he needed and he made his hand puppet. He remembered everything he had seen in the book. Well done Francesco you are a champion.

Anti bullying show

Today we got to enjoy the anti bullying show. We learnt about including everyone and making sure there is a spare seat. The two ladies who presented the show were very funny and some of us got chosen to join in.
