Bears

Ella and Ryder stitched around their bears today. They drew the faces on them. Well done both of you. The rest of the class are keen to get their bears made.

Nursery rhymes

Aymon brought his Nursery Rhyme book to school and share it with some of his classmates. Thank you for bringing your book Aymon. Your classmates enjoyed reading Nursery Rhymes with you.

Team 1's Assembly item

Today Team 1 did an item in School Assembly. Some of us did rakau and some of us did poi. We showed the audience the koauau (flutes) that we made out of clay. Ryder introduced our item. He spoke in a very clear voice. Room 4 were proud of you Ryder. Majah talked to Mr Snell about the instrument he twirled around to make a noise. Majah spoke clearly too. We were proud of you too Majah.

Discovery Day 27th June

Today at Discovery we went to the hall and we made things about patterns and nursery rhymes. We made mice, cow masks, ladybirds, crowns and spiders. We had 6 big girls helping us. When we had finished we showed the other children and teachers what we had made. We all felt amazing because we all had a really good time.

Scooters

Our phonics for this week was 'sc'. In writing time we had to make the word scooter and make ourselves riding a scooter. Some of us wrote stories about our scooter. We tried very hard to spell the words in our stories. We wrote the sounds we could hear.

Town Library day

We go to the Town Library once a month. We wear our safety vests. Pamela read to us this time because Nicky was on holiday. We like listening to stories. Lukas and Travis are enjoying their books.

Winter Discovery Day

We had Discovery Day today. It was about winter. Miss Hutchings painted our faces. The girls had snowflakes and the boys had snowmen. Don't we look fantastic.
